One of the best ways to obtain loot in Dying Light 2 Stay Human is by seeking out Military Convoys, which often hold the best loot and gear. They are more difficult than the Evacuation Convoys, but the rewards are always worth the effort. There are more obstacles to keep in mind, such as toxic waste and stronger enemies that surround and patrol the area, making clearing a Military Convoy difficult without the right tools and strategy.

Clearing Military Convoys

Preparing For The Military Convoy

Before heading out and searching for a Military Convoy, it’s always a good idea to make sure Aiden is prepared for the task ahead. Here are a few tools and items to keep Aiden in the fight before the challenge ahead:

Craft or buy Medkits Purchase A Toughness Booster Undamaged and repaired weapons in Dying Light 2 are a must. Two-handed blade weapons or a modified weapon Purchase some Decoys Purchase Molotov Cocktails Craft as many lockpicks as possible

Locating a Military Convoy

Look for a Military Convoy on the map that is appropriate to Aiden’s level. Tackling a convoy above Aiden’s capabilities will prove too challenging, especially in the early stages of the game. The Military Convoy will be represented by an orange crate symbol on the map. Hold down the A button for Xbox - X on PlayStation - to track the Convoy. The player will need to make their way to the Convoy, avoiding as much danger as possible or getting sidetracked using parkour in Dying Light 2. This will ensure that his resources at kept at a maximum.

Scouting A Military Convoy

With the Military Convoy located, it’s best to get to high ground to ensure that Aiden stays out of sight. With the protagonist safely out of harm’s way, it’s now a good idea to start planning the attack. Look for the biggest threats in the area, which can mean larger enemies like Goons in Dying Light 2 lurking near tanks. There will often be armored zombies in the area that are very resilient. One should also keep an eye out for biters with gas canisters strapped to their backs. Finally, it’s a good idea to remember where the loose red gas canisters are on the ground to utilize them as weapons.

Clearing A Military Convoy

Make sure Aiden remains at the best high vantage point in the area to stay out of sight. Now, it’s good to start with the smaller hordes first by luring them into groups using decoys. Throw the decoys near an explosive red gas canister; once there are enough zombies near it, throw a Molotov Cocktail to burn them within the area of effect. The heat will set the gas canisters off in a chain of explosions that should take out most of the regular zombies in the area.

The explosions will attract a horde of running biters in Dying Light 2 that will emerge out of buildings to look for Aiden and any other human within the vicinity. With Aiden still out of sight, wait for the aggressive biters to leave the area before focusing on the stronger enemies.

WIth whatever remaining Molotovs and decoys that Aiden has left, start throwing them at the Goons and armored enemies. This should kill them or at least weaken them for some sneak attacks.

If Aiden has run out of throwable weapons, now is the time to climb down to ground level and start clearing out the remaining zombies by luring them away from the Goon and taking them out with a blade. This is where combat in Dying Light 2 takes center stage, as Aiden will need to stay on his toes by using hit-and-run tactics as staying in one spot for too long will leave him vulnerable.

If the armors and Goons are still standing, Aiden should be able to finish them off with sneak attacks and running to safety points before getting hit. If the armored zombies are troublesome, ground them by chopping off their legs. Before collecting the loot, make sure Aiden searches the Goon and armored zombie for useful items such as the Rare Infected Trophy which can be used to obtain blueprints from vendors.

Collect The Rewards

With the area clear, Aiden will need to unlock the vehicles and access the GRE bunkers. The vehicles and tanks can be unlocked with lockpicks, but some will be too hard for Aiden in the early levels.

There should be GRE chests to open inside the bunkers and other useful items and high-level weapons to collect on the shelves.
