Bethesda and Arkane Studios, however, hope that fans will want to return to the familiar world of Dishonored. About a month or so ago, Dishonored: Definitive Edition was prematurely revealed; during its E3 2015 conference, Bethesda took the stage and officially announced that the updated version - complete with all of the 2012 original’s DLC - is on its way.
The hope is that this complete version of the first-person stealth/action game will hold fans over until Dishonored 2, which Arkane finally announced during the conference.
Dishonored: Definitive Edition will come with the Dunwall City Trials challenge maps, as well as the The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches add-ons, in which players control the assassin Daud in a story that runs parallel to the original game.
During the conference, Arkane noted that this upcoming re-release has been enhanced for new consoles. We assume that means it will look (and run) better than ever - although, to be fair, it ran just fine before.

It will be interesting to see how well people take a current-gen edition of Dishonored. A couple of months ago. the game was free for PlayStation Plus members; perhaps, by the time the remaster launches on the Xbox One and PS4, people will feel that enough time has passed. Dishonored itself is great, supporting both stealthy and combat-heavy gameplay, and a re-release could serve as the perfect excuse to jump back into Dishonored’s interesting world for a completely different playthrough.
Dishonored: Definitive Edition will release on the Xbox One and PS4 this August. A price has yet to be revealed, but it probably won’t be above $39.99.
Are you upset about yet another port of an older game, or does Dishonored get a pass? How many of you liked the original game?
