The Miami International Autodrome has been remarkably recreated in this game with the Florida afternoon sunlight lighting up the slow corners and casting shadows from the grandstand on the front stretch. The backdrop of the track includes the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, and other amenities built up around the stadium like multiple sponsored lounging and fan gathering areas around the track and the temporary yacht harbor built into the track....

During its latest financial briefing, EA CEO Andrew Wilson stressed again that the company is “looking into” cross-play for Apex Legends, but added that EA will be looking at cross-play “across our portfolio over time.” Wilson specifically highlighted its FIFA soccer series as one game with a “tremendously large” community that could benefit from cross-play. Techland recently held a Dying Light 2 AMA to reveal a number of details about the upcoming open-world zombie game, including the fact that Dying Light 2 will contain far more free-roam events than the first game and no returning characters. Cyberpunk 2077 was simultaneously one of the most popular launches of 2020 as well as one of the most troubled. The game was hotly anticipated by gamers, and following a series of delays, Cyberpunk 2077 was primed to have a greatly successful launch in early December. However, Cyberpunk’s launch was one that divided opinion greatly, with many sharing a similar experience riddled with bugs and performance issues, while others spoke to the game’s qualities, including its story and impressive open world....

Techland also gave a co-op gameplay preview of Dying Light 2 as well, with lead game designer Tymon Smektala answering a few questions afterward in a Q&A. In this co-op showcase, Smektala confirmed that players could complete Dying Light 2 in four-player co-op, completing the entire campaign with friends. It’s been a long time coming for Faith, and apparently that has been for good reason. According to EA’s Patrick Soderlund, Mirror’s Edge 2 went through several phases of development, with concepts that looked promising, but eventually the team at DICE decided to stop their work....

A controversial move to say the least, this promotional ploy by the folks behind Medal of Honor: Warfighter, specifically Executive Producer Greg Goodrich, is in poor taste. There is some leeway in the realm of cross-promotion, but when it encourages gamers to get their hands on weapons it becomes a bigger issue. Goodrich began a series of blog posts on the Warfighter site — posts that have since been taken down — hyping up many of the weapons that will be featured in the game....

As the below trailer shows, Dying Light players will be able to cruise around The Following’s wide-open addition to the map in their customizable dirt buggies. Players will be able to add paint jobs and unlock bobbleheads and charms to show off on their buggies. They’ll also be able to modify and upgrade various vehicle parts, including the engine, tires, and other sections of the buggies. Finally, and probably most excitingly, players can add unique weapons to their vehicles, such as a ramming bar and flamethrower....
