God of War will have PS4 Pro improvements, Barlog seemed to confirm, stating that “the goal” is to make the game look even better on the newer Sony console. The service will not provide players with any console releases, and instead only gives gamers the publisher’s mobile titles. It had been reported that Disney executives had pressured EA into removing the microtransactions from the game. Analysts pointed to the potential damage that the microtransaction debate could do to the Star Wars brand and some fans said that they were ditching the Star Wars franchise in all of its forms (games and movies included) as a result of the furor. The only thing that seemed to stop EA from developing more NCAA Football games was the ongoing legal dispute around player likenesses and whether they could be used in video games like this. However there was some movement on this last week after the state of California brought the Fair Pay to Play Act into law. This made it illegal for the NCAA to stop college football players from making money from their names and likenesses....
EA has now shed more light on why it decided to move the in-development Star Wars game from Visceral Games to EA Vancouver and Motive and why the game had to change its vision.
