While keeping the domain names of potential sequels is regular practice for larger intellectual properties (the company also purchased domains for Battlefield 13 to 20 as well), the timing of EA doing this barely a month before the E3 Expo seems almost too convenient....
The video games giant launched a new squad of 23 players on Friday ahead of the ghoulish holiday, with stars such as Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema receiving Halloween boosts. And while EA Sports will release more information about the promotion closer to October 31 itself, there are already a few hints regarding the bonuses players will enjoy. All 23 squad members will be available with upgraded ratings from October 20-29, and will receive further “scary” boosts on the days around All Hallows’ Eve....
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen hinted that a new IP from EA could indeed be shown at E3. He said that people will see the new IP “probably coming up soon,” and with the property scheduled to release in 2017, it would make sense for EA to give it a proper unveiling at the EA Play E3 2016 presentation next month. The new brand from EA could be just about anything, but we can make some educated guesses....

There’s a wall covered in graffiti, and the area is overgrown, with tall grass in front of the wall and ivy hanging over its top. What’s most important about the short video is that it begins in daylight, loops into the night, and then sees the dawn rise at the end....
To get the important stuff out of the way, Dead Island will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, and will arrive on store shelves in North America on September 6th, 2011, with the other regions seeing it on September 9th, 2011. The new trailer follows the viewpoint of Sam B, former rapper and the tank-class of the game. Also, if the opening moments are anything to go by, the man is a wicked hard party animal....
We were fortunate enough to get our hands on Deadliest Warrior: Legends at E3 2011, and while the basic premise remains the same, there are a ton of new features that are sure to excite fans of the original and newcomers alike. As many have already (hopefully) pieced together by simply reading the game’s name, Deadliest Warrior: Legends will finally be focusing on some of the legendary warriors that have fought on the actual show....
Early speculation lead many to believe that the only Halo game that would be announced this year was the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, but as many fans were excited to learn — they were wrong. 343 Industries had confirmed earlier that they didn’t plan on leaving Halo 3’s ending as it was, and they did so by teasing the return of the Chief’s return to the franchise. Halo 4 takes place after the events of Halo 3, and if you haven’t completed the game then spoiler alert Master Chief was sent into a cryogenic nap, leaving Cortana keep an eye on him while they waited for help....
In a video during the Bethesda E3 press conference, Bethesda Game Studios director and executive producer Todd Howard thanked fans for their support, and revealed that the team wasn’t finished with Fallout 4. In fact, his team has been plugging away on even more content. For fans of settlement building, the Contraptions content adds new construction tools and objects including ball tracks, elevators, object racks, and conveyor belts. Players can get tinkering with the Contraptions DLC starting next week....
During the FINAL FANTASY VII: A Symphonic Reunion concert, held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, CA, developer and publisher Square Enix let loose the news all Final Fantasy fans have been waiting for. The remake, which will debut first on the Sony PlayStation 4, will release on March 3rd, 2020. Not only will it hit store (physical or otherwise) shelves that day, but it will do so worldwide, as well....
E3 2020 was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The June that followed was silent without E3, with a drought of gaming announcements and releases as many publishers and the industry itself had to adjust to working from home. On October 2015, EA’s team for Madden NFL 16’s player stats upgraded Von Miller’s OVR (Overall Rating) to 99. Joining the “99 Club” is, as far as an NFL video game goes, a big deal. Yet it shows just how far Madden NFL’s simulation has to go in order to capture career defining performances for the NFL’s best players during games like the Super Bowl. Miller pulled off 2 1/2 sacks, forcing a game-changing 2 fumbles in the process....
In a surprise twist, Activision - who partnered with Microsoft for Call of Duty timed DLC exclusives on the Xbox 360 - instead rounded out the show with two huge announcements: Blizzard would be bringing Diablo 3 to the PS3 and PS4, and Bungie - who developed exclusive for the Xbox brand for over a decade - was bringing Destiny to the PS4 as well (with exclusive content). Now we may know why EA was nowhere to be found....
EA’s president previously noted the potential for Dead Space to grow as a brand, and the numbers it needs to sell to get there. The developers at Visceral Games are more than happy with the fan following and success that has sprung up overnight, and would love nothing more than to keep expanding the Dead Space series with even more installments. But EA sees major profits to be had in the franchise, so they won’t be satisfied with a third title that caters only to the established fanbase....
Before moving forward, it’s worth mentioning that EA’s stock has not yet dropped, but this is speculation based on the current trends around Apex Legends, which currently eats up a solid portion of EA’s valuation. Perhaps the foremost influence on this situation is the Twitch and Google data currently circling Apex in comparison to its biggest competitor, Fortnite. As it stands, Apex searches are dominated by its competitor, with EA’s title only having 10% of the Google searches, less than 20% of its Twitch base, and less than 4% of its YouTube search base compared to Fortnite....

Sparkle the pup, based in Somerville, Massachusetts, sadly has cancer, and her owners don’t know how long she has left. The 11-year-old dog loves to relax in the front yard, and receive strokes and cuddles from the local community, where it seems she’s become something of a minor celebrity. One passer-by, photographer Eric Magnussen, tweeted a photo of a majestic pooch, alongside numerous signs her owners had put up....
