After removing Kinect (possibly killing off the camera in the process) and lowering the RRP, the Xbox One is catching up - Especially so as recent holiday promotions and new Xbox One bundles have made the console even cheaper. Microsoft recently announced that they have almost ‘shipped’ 10 million Xbox One units to retailers, which suggests that their new plan is paying off. And games publisher Electronic Arts agrees, with CFO Blake Jorgensen recently revealing his thoughts on the sales turnaround....

[HTML1] EA and DICE’s Mirror’s Edge managed to do something spectacular and innovative when it was released in 2008. Despite having weaker sales than the company anticipated, the game managed to garner positive critical acclaim. The first-person runner has become a cult classic with a strong and dedicated fanbase, and has even landed on our list of games that definitely deserve a sequel. Finally, after several years, fans everywhere will be getting what they’ve been waiting for....

This mudslinging began with EA president John Riccitiello stating that he would like to see Call of Duty rot from the core, and was later followed up by other EA executives stating that Battlefield 3 will take a huge chunk out of Activision’s market share. These ideals however, aren’t shared by Battlefield 3 developer, DICE, at least, publicly. While Activsion feels it is best to put the trash talking aside, Jeff Brown of EA thinks otherwise, saying that this is how the industry works....

It was reported in the High Court on November 9th that Grenet remarked next to another female colleague that he was not “going to pull [his] dick out and put it on the table to see who has the bigger dick.” Grenet denied making the comment in a one-to-one video conversation with a female colleague who is based in Austin Texas and said that what he actually said was “I don’t want to compare the length of my dick” with the colleague....

After having contacted EA said gamer found out that the Online Pass for each EA game does have a shelf life, but will never officially expire. All one needs to do is contact EA for a new Online Pass or the ability to re-download one. Essentially, those Online Passes that gamers have come to know oh so well have a time frame in which they can be used. After that time frame passes, it’s a minor inconvenience, but the Online Pass’ validity still remains....

One of the main reasons that there hasn’t been an NCAA Football or College Football title from EA is due to the difficult licensing of the various university and college teams. This new game from EA has a different title, which is leading to some speculation about what it could say about the NCAA’s involvement. With EA having to negotiate with different rights holding groups, it makes it a challenge to have every team in the game....

After being one of the most impressive games at E3 2019, Dying Light 2 has picked up a good deal of hype in the past handful of months. The sequel to the surprise hit parkour action game from 2015, which was in turn a spiritual successor to Dead Island, is improving on its narrative elements by focusing more onc choices and consequences, leaning more into the RPG influences this time around....

This stamina meter dictates the number and frequency of moves that a player can perform. Players start Dying Light 2 with a relatively small stamina meter, but can increase their maximum stamina by acquiring valuable upgrade materials called Inhibitors. To help entice more people to utilize EA Access on Xbox One, EA executive, Peter Moore, took to the stage during Microsoft’s E3 press conference to announce that the program is growing in size once more, including a few new details. The first reveal from Peter Moore came for Respawn Entertainment’s popular Xbox One shooter, Titanfall. The title, which recently made all of it’s DLC available for free is coming to the service later this week for EA Access subscribers....

People can team with other players to embark on this original Avengers story. Also, Marvel’s Avengers is a game with long term plans and the game will continue to get more features such as new characters, story missions, etc in the form of DLCs which will apparently be free of cost....

Rumors on a consumer-friendly trade show being organized by the ESA were a source of contention before the Covid-19 pandemic affected multiple industries worldwide. Eventually, E3 was cancelled, and plans to reignite a digital exposition seemed to fizzle out as publisher’s and other game companies organized independent efforts. As reports on the ESA’s planned resurgence continue to leak in 2021, as well as the ESA responding to these reports, it’s clear E3 is once again bidding on a resurgence....
