On the call, Wilson not only discusses sales but also heaps praise on Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s developer. He says “Respawn delivered an expertly crafted, high-quality experience with outstanding gameplay that thrilled players…” which is clearly high praise....

It seems fans of the popular sport are in luck, however, as a new listing on the PlayStation store supposedly confirms the existence of a UFC 4. The game even seems to have a title card and artwork attached too, with a graphic found alongside the listing showing the UFC 4 title below an EA Sports logo. According to a post on the official Steam page, the latest patch for Dying Light 2, update 1.2.0, fixes a lengthy list of bugs that have been present since it was launched. Most notably, it seems as though the “deathloop” glitch has finally been sorted, and the developer has also adjusted some of the gameplay mechanics, specifically making nighttimes a lot more challenging. On top of that, there has been a host of other tweaks, such as improving the outro sequences, making amendments to the UI, fixing some of the issues in co-op, and plenty more....

A newly released Dying Light 2 clip presents this to players, capturing gameplay in extremely high quality on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The clip shows the player moving through varying environments and times of day, showcasing movement, combat, and other features. First off, the thing every Killzone fan is talking about: the jetpack. My first obstacle was jumping from one glacier to another over a storming sea. They fly in bursts, and you can use a speed boost of blue flame to make last moment adjustments to your trajectory....

DmC Devil May Cry’s redesign has been discussed and justified at length by publisher Capcom and developer Ninja Theory. Original series director, Hideki Kamiya, has also talked about his disapproval regarding the character changes. Aside from the first trailer shown, little has been on display for the new title. Luckily, E3 has allowed Capcom to debut a fresh trailer for the new DMC game, showcasing more of the gameplay to be expected....

Many people thought that a Smash Bros. announcement this year would be out of the question, and this was because the series’ creator, Masahiro Sakurai, had been working on Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS. That didn’t stop the rumors of a new Smash from pouring onto the internet. It has since been confirmed that Sakurai will be leading this giant Smash Bros. push on both devices, and allegedly he is quite excited about the potential that both games have....

The minute and a half trailer quickly flashed through 18 upcoming games, highlighted by the phrase, ‘risk takers, rule breakers, and game changers.’ The impressive list had a number of notable names in the list including Playtonic Games, the former Rare developers creating a Banjo-Kazooie inspired platformer, Yooka-Laylee. In addition, former Konami developer and Castlevania creator, Koji Igarashi had his game, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, also prominently featured in the montage....

There likely won’t be very many big surprises during the event, those are more likely to arrive at the press conferences Sunday or Monday, but EA does have an exciting slate of games to talk about. After putting so much focus on Anthem for the last two years, it will be interesting to see how the event pivots away from that and towards other projects. Due to the high price point of the technology though, outside of movie theaters, the barrier has proved discouraging for many prospective consumers. EA recognizes the challenge and plans to adapt accordingly. During a meeting with their shareholders, John Riccitello, the CEO of Electronic Arts discussed the company’s stance on the newest trend in gaming. Rather than focusing on developing games with 3D technology in mind, like many other companies, EA plans to focus more on the social features of gaming....

According to the EA Games’ Ben Cousins, DICE will be unveiling a brand new Battlefield title on Friday. He also made a point to note that this would be a completely new title unrelated to Battlefield 3. Cousins has been alluding to some major news on his Twitter account for the past week, as well as posting the censored image above. One particular project that seemed to fly under the radar after EA Play Live’s showcase this summer was EA Motive’s new project. After showing off some vague but interesting prototype gameplay, there really wasn’t much coverage or speculation as to what it was. Obviously EA Motive’s Star Wars Squadrons was the main focus of the studio in the lead up to its release on October 2, but this early test footage could be a vision into the future of EA Motive and whatever the studio’s next game will be....

After announcing EA Sports UFC 3 last month, EA has allowed fans of the fighting franchise to take part in a beta. This beta includes the Ultimate Team mode whereby players build the best team possible using collectible cards that can boost stats and skills. These include health boosts, temporary stat increases, and improvements to skills such as grappling. Players can use real money or the in-game currency to purchase additional packs to unlock new cards and improve these teams....

It’s about time Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release new material, yet a recent leak has gotten the most attention. In July, a PlayStation Store listing posted the game’s release date as March 2023, before being updated to just say 2023. This is a bit of a mixed bag. It could be an accidental leak of its release window, it could just be a simple accident unrelated to the real release window, it could have been a placeholder that was quickly changed, or any number of things....
